CLAREMONT VOLUNTEER FIRE BRIGADE

Claremont Volunteer Fire Brigade was formed in the 1980's to work along side the career fire fighters until 1996 when the new Glenorchy fire station was opened and Claremont station then become a volunteer station only .
Claremont has 2 fire fighting appliances a heavy tanker plus and a light tanker and it also houses another light tanker during summer that is used for the MT Faulkner fire tower .
Claremont has approx 25 active members and approx 14 junior members .Claremont respond to all types of including structral,vegetation and car fires as well as hazmat,alarm calls and calls out of area.We also attend community events and school fairs.
Claremont are automatic back up to career staff to all fire incidents in area as well as back up to Collinsvale brigade.
